As a mom of two boys, I can tell you stories of spit, splatter and shtuff all over my boys when they were growing up. Especially when they were teething, oh my the drool! There was drool all over their onesie and when it came time for feeding, it seemed as they would just aim to see how dirty they could get.
I would buy them bibs but because of the velcro they had, it would scratch their necks and leave them red marks. I wish I would have known of these hilarious and sassy bibs when my boys were grow-drooling (yes, I just made up that word).
Just so you know, these sassy bibs were sent to me in exchange for my honest review and all opinions are my own and haven’t been influenced by the free products.
Okay, now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you about these amazing 100% Cotton Terrycloth bibs. When I unpacked them, I immediately felt the durability of the bibs and was really stocked that these bibs did NOT have velcro around the neckline but instead two snaps. The bibs can be easily snapped and have the possibility to adjust to the growth of your child. SCORE!!
I really enjoyed the fact that they don’t have that eeky and scratchy velcro that babies dislike because of their sensitive soft skin. Another great part I liked is that they are big and are really soft to the touch. They cover the entire torso of your baby which when you sit them on their high chair, no spills or drool will touch their cute baby clothes or body.
Being that my boys are already older and don’t have the need for a bib, I contacted a friend of mine with the excuse of wanting to model these bibs on her grandson. I just really wanted to get a hold of the baby and squish his chubby cheeks. Which by the way, there’s a sassy bib with a cute saying, “You Pincha the Cheeks, I Pulla the Hair!” Don’t you remember not wanting your aunt to pull on your cheeks?! So cute!!
All in all, we really enjoyed and liked these adorable bibs, not only by the chuckle causing sayings embroidered on the bibs but because they really do the work they’re made for. They keep baby happy and hence, mommy happy too.
Enough about my review and let’s meet the maker of these Sassy Bibs to tell us about her why and how she came about these fun and sassy creations to make it into a business. Read all the way to the end for a GIVEAWAY.

My name is Jane. I’m married and mom of 2 wonderful young men and a border collie named Rascal. I love to go camping and hiking, and of course, spending time with family.
I think I’m an extrovert. I do everything myself when it comes to my company and that includes the selling. You can’t be shy and quiet and expect to make sales. You have to be outgoing and put yourself out there.
When my youngest was just 3 1/2 years old, he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes (type 1). I needed something I could do from home. I’ve always enjoyed crafts and sewing, so this was where I concentrated my research. I started my custom embroidery company 17 years ago.
However, I needed a product to sell when my custom business was slow. At a friend’s baby shower, there were lots of positive comments about my baby bibs, so I decided to start producing them.
Since I am already in the embroidery business, I have all my supplier connections, machines, thread, etc., so start-up costs were minimal. I did, however, need to purchase an e-commerce website Sassy Bibs.
I started Sassy Bibs in May 2016. I didn’t start seeing income, though, until around Black Friday – November 2016. I think most people were purchasing Holiday gifts.
My biggest obstacle has been navigating all the various social media platforms in order to market my products. I’m still working on this. It’s a daily struggle that takes a lot of time, effort, and research.
When I purchased my first machine and software 17 years ago, the salesman/owner had no clue how to use the software. Lucky for me, my husband had just taken some CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) courses. He noticed how similar the software was and he worked with me to learn it.
Ideas for phrases come from brainstorming sessions with friends and family. I currently have 23 designs on my website, but have ideas for approximately 50 more!
Be prepared to work hard. It doesn’t happen overnight. At the same time, don’t give up on your dreams.
When my kids were younger, it was hard. I would have to work while they were at school or after they went to bed. They’re older now, so it’s not such a struggle and I’m not eternally tired!
Do your research and be willing to work hard. It will pay off. Build your business slowly. Don’t be afraid to take chances though. If you have the opportunity to give back, do it.
There you have it, wise words from Jane to not give up on your dreams and take chances! Sometimes we put roadblocks on our dreams and decide to take a break from it all. Even if you decide to take a break, now that you have rested, get up and get moving! There have been certain roadblocks on my own path, but after a short break on my blog, here I am.
Now get over to Jane’s Sassy Bibs shop to find the cutest, sassiest bib for your little one, your friend’s baby or your niece or nephew as an after Christmas gift or for Three Kingsmen Day. These would make some adorable and entertaining gifts. Check out this adorable holiday bib:
